I've always really liked the overwhelming blue going on in this image. Sometimes that is what I like about working in color. Just focusing on one particular hue and going as overboard with it as I possibly can. On this day, it was the overwhelming sunshine of a bright summer day that made it possible.
I must have taken at least fifty frames of this one photograph trying to get the horizon perfectly level. Yeah sure, I could have fixed it in Photoshop later, but what is the fun in that? It was insanely bright out and I could hardly see through the electronic viewfinder of the digital camera I was using at the time. I figured it was better to just blast away and hope I got one right.
