I'm not sure how much I love this image in an artistic sense. I wouldn't call it my best work by any means. The subject matter is busy on the eye and the composition is much too tight. However, from a scientific sense I love it and can't turn away.
Sometimes it is incredibly fascinating to me the way a photograph can alter the way we see the world with our naked eye. In this case it is the way the rushing water changes form into solid globs, like alien orbs floating through the air. As cliche as it may be, a photograph really can stop time, which is something we are just simply not used to seeing.
